Payments in the public sector are subject to laws, regulations and other rules that need to be followed to receive and record them. Comgate's payment services can adapt to the specific requirements of government and other public institutions in terms of set-up and billing.

We also accept contracts that central, local and other public authorities must award on a competitive basis. We bid for these and adapt our contracts and services to meet the requirements.

Accounting for payments

Do you issue stamps at the town hall, do you collect fees for the collection of municipal waste or pet fees? All payments are invoiced in full, transaction fees are billed in aggregate and you pay them from your operating account. This makes it easier to allocate payments in the institutions' internal information systems. Implementing online payment services is therefore easier and does not require complex IT implementation.

Payments at the counter and online

Do you accept payments from the public at the office cash desk? Then you will appreciate the N5 Fix counter terminal. It is wall powered, so you don't have to worry about battery life, and you can connect it to the internet via cable, Wi-Fi or a data SIM card. The payment gateway with a wide range of payment methods will process your remote payment requests over the internet.

Connection to the IT system

If you use specialised software for public administration in your office, you will appreciate its cooperation with our services. For example, the payment gateway and the Comgate terminal can be connected to GORDIC's GINIS tool so that all payments made can be easily recorded. For other cases we have a simple API implementation. Connecting the systems is easy in our case.

Same conditions for associated organisations

There are often other organisations associated with the municipality - sports ground management, property management, technical services, etc. As part of a comprehensive solution, we offer them the same service on the same terms. This way you can also accept cashless payments at the municipal swimming pool or ice rink.

Transfer to accounts by payment purpose

One payment solution under one contract for the whole office, but different payment purposes - we can do that too. Paying for stamps to verify documents, paying fines or document fees. If you need to transfer payments to different accounts according to their purpose, that's no problem either, it's just a matter of setting it up.

Promotions and guarantees

3 months free

The “3 months free” promotion for the Easy and Profi plans applies to transaction fees for payments up to 500 000 CZK, regardless of the payment method, made within the first three months after the first transaction. The promotion does not apply to monthly fees for the payment gateway, terminal rental, or any other non-transaction fees. The benefit can be used up to the sixth month after signing the contract. This offer is intended for merchants who already accept card payments.

6 months free – Start plan

For the first six calendar months from signing the contract, card payment fees are free up to CZK 50,000 per month, as well as monthly fees for operating the payment gateway or terminal rental. From the seventh month, the Easy plan will be activated for the client. For card payments exceeding CZK 50,000 per month and for other payment methods, a flat fee of 1% + EUR 0 applies. The Start plan is part of the Czechia Pays by Card project, an initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Visa and Mastercard payment schemes.

Best price guarantee

We guarantee that Comgate offers the best price for its services. By “best price,” we mean a price lower than the merchant’s current actual costs for a comparable payment service over a selected period. The comparison is based on the total costs across the client’s entire portfolio of merchant locations and includes all payment transactions.

To apply for the guarantee, please email us at obchod@comgate.cz. Attach your current price list and a statement of service fees for at least one month. Based on this information, we will contact you with an offer or clarifying questions. An exception to this guarantee applies if such an offer would violate applicable laws, e.g., competition regulations.

Fixed pricing until 31 December 2026

We guarantee that the fees listed in the above pricing plans will not change at least until 31 December 2026.
